According to SQM Research, July had the largest monthly increase in residential listings nationally, since 2010, with the number of properties for sale hitting 348,903. This is up 4.2%, when compared to July 2014 and an increase of 3.8% from June 2015.

The market has experienced a rise in demand for off-the-plan apartments in recent years, which has resulted in new supply reaching its highest annual total in 15 years of 3,350 apartments in 2014/15;

Within the ISA area precincts, during the three years to 2017/18, the South Dowling precinct will be the main source of new apartments, accounting for 49% of total new apartment supply, followed by the North Sydney precinct with a 23% share.
